  • £3,000 for Track 1 winner (Human Flourishing)

  • £3,000 for Track 2 winner (Public Systems)

The Premise

You have probably had this moment recently. You spin up a few Claude agents, delegate a bunch of tasks you used to do manually, and suddenly something that would have taken you ten hours is done in thirty minutes.

It is exhilarating, but the implication is hard to ignore. Work is getting automated, fewer people will be working, and global cities like London, built almost entirely on services, will be particularly impacted.

Our core thesis is simple: there will be less work. That sets up two critical problems. First, in a future of no work, how do people spend their free time? More free time does not mean better lives. Second, what does government look like when demands on it have increased, when citizens expect more support and better services, and when the tax base is shifting underneath it?

We care deeply about the answers to these questions and are hosting this hackathon to be ready.

At Sequel, we think about the future all day long. It is our job to understand future problems so we can invest in companies solving those challenges for humanity before they become problems. The AI revolution will have an impact on large parts of the population.

At Aurora, we are passionate about human flourishing and empowering human performance. We want a future where people are socially connected, healthy, and mentally stimulated rather than doomscrolling in a simulation.

Two Tracks

Track 1: Human Flourishing If work becomes less central, how do we prevent free time from turning into endless doomscrolling? Build an agentic product that takes a real person in London from screen time to real-world action. Show us the end-to-end flow.

Track 2: Rebuilding London's Public Systems When work compresses, citizen expectations rise. Choose one problem in how London is run. Build an agentic system that optimises it. Show us why it could actually be deployed.
