How Do You Operate Software Inside Infrastructure You Don’t Control?
Deploying into a customer’s cloud once is straightforward; upgrading and debugging it across hundreds of opinionated environments is not. This talk covers drift, permissions, partial failures, upgrades, rollbacks, observability, and supporting Terraform, Helm, and internal platform tooling without direct access.
Nick Bushak, Co-founder, Boxes
AI Coding in the Cloud with Boxes.dev
Most developers still run coding agents like Claude Code and Codex locally, but parallel agents can quickly introduce challenges around compute, isolation, and testing. This talk explores what changes when development environments move to the cloud, using one Linux machine per agent. We’ll look at the architecture behind this approach, the tradeoffs compared with local development, and what we’ve learned running coding agents in cloud environments.
