​If you've been itching to LEARN a new skill, grow in embroidery confidence, or take your basics one step further, this workshop is for you! NYC Fashion Designer, Artist, and Educator Emma Rubinson is joining us to instruct you through beaded embroidery basics on our very favorite tote bags! Emma specializes in couture beadwork and also hosts her own workshops in NYC, making her the perfect person to guide our community through this craft! You'll leave with a new favorite bag, a table of friends to support you on your embroidery journey, AND newfound confidence in your skill!!!

​​​​🖍️ 🎨 A large canvas tote bag with 6 (!!!!) pockets inside, beading needle & thread, beads, and transfer paper to sketch your design

​👍🏼 ✅ Detailed instruction led by NYC Fashion Designer, Emma Rubinson! She'll guide you through all the basics so you can feel confident in completing your own beaded embroidery piece and help you troubleshoot throughout the event.

​​​​​​​What to Expect:

• ​​​​6:00-6:30pm Arrival & Mingling

  • ​​​​Join us for the first 30min to order food & drink (your first one is on us!!), find a seat, and mingle with each other before we start crafting :)

• ​​​​6:30-8:30pm Detailed Instructions & Crafting

  • ​Emma will give you an introduction to the craft, and stick around to help guide you as needed

  • ​Time to pick out your supplies and let your creativity run wild!!!! We encourage you to focus on creativity over perfection, embrace the chaos!!!

• ​​​​8:30pm Clean Up

  • ​Just kidding!!!!! Once you've finished the craft and met your new besties, admire the heck outta your creation and leave the cleaning to us!!! That's what this is all about--come, enjoy good food & company, create, get messy, and don't worry about it! When else are you encouraged to make a mess??

​Emma is a couture fashion designer specializing in textiles and couture beadwork. Hosting educational workshops is her way to bring beading to a more beginner friendly environment and empower creatives to explore their unique artistic voices! With a background in fashion design and education, she creates supportive, skill-building spaces that spark collaboration, encourage experimentation, and inspire personal growth.
