About Event

The LA Voices Program spotlights a dynamic collection of films rooted in the Arab diaspora experience in Los Angeles and across the United States. These stories live at the intersection of cultures — shaped by heritage, redefined by place, and driven by a new generation of filmmakers carving out their identities in one of the world’s most influential creative capitals.

Bold, personal, and unapologetically diverse, this program captures the rhythms of life between worlds: questions of belonging, reinvention, ambition, and memory. From intimate character studies to stylistic explorations, these films reflect the richness and complexity of Arab voices emerging from LA and beyond.

Featuring:

  • Le Beyrouth – Dir. Daniella Raphael (United States)

  • Sabr Dolls – Dir. Victoria Xashara-Prescott (United States)

  • Helium – Dir. Zack Abdulbaki (United States/UAE)

  • PIGSKIN – Dir. Tishna Lodi (United States)

  • B2 – Dir. Francois Bittar (United States)

  • Winter Brothers – Dir. Waleed Bedour (United States/Egypt)

This is where local stories meet global perspectives — a celebration of Arab filmmakers shaping the cultural landscape of Los Angeles, one film at a time.

From LA to the world — these are the voices redefining the narrative.
