About Event

Join us for a practical and insightful conversation with Malachi Blundon, PhD, on navigating non-dilutive federal and private foundation funding in biotech and life sciences.

In this session, Malachi will share perspectives on how early-stage biotech companies can successfully access grant funding through federal institutes, such as the NSF and NIH, as well as private foundations. He will also share how Orange Grove Bio operates as an early-stage investor and venture builder, helping translate promising university innovations into scalable life science companies.

Malachi specializes in translating high-impact biotech innovations into fundable, scalable life science ventures. Having supported more than 40 biotech and life science startups, his experience spans therapeutics, diagnostics, and medtech, with expertise in grant strategy, startup operations, commercialization planning, and federal funding compliance. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of how startups can align scientific innovation with funding opportunities, navigate complex grant processes, and position themselves for long-term growth and commercialization success.

This session is designed for students, postdocs, researchers, founders, operators, and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in biotech innovation, translational science, and startup funding. Whether you are exploring how to fund early-stage research or looking to better understand the non-dilutive funding landscape, this conversation will provide actionable insights from someone working directly at the intersection of science, strategy, and startup execution.
