Akil leads POK, one of Albania's fastest-growing fintechs, known for instant money transfers, bill payments, digital wallets, and virtual VISA cards (over 8,000 issued). Founded in 2022, POK now serves more than 200,000 customers and 2,400 businesses and has become a strategic VISA partner for digital payments expansion across the Balkans. He previously built core banking systems in Albania, holds a Bachelor's and Master's in Software Engineering, and has spent over 15 years developing software solutions. Outside of work, he follows astrophysics podcasts for fun.
Besnik Leskaj, Co-Founder, POK & Chairman, Blessed Investment Group
Besnik is an entrepreneurial investor building venture projects across finance, ICT, renewable energy, and infrastructure. He founded Blessed Investment Group and co-founded Abkons, a leading Western Balkans consultancy, where he led delivery on the Trans Adriatic Pipeline contract. His clients and partners include UNOPS, UNDP, Shell, the EBRD, EIB, and World Bank. He was a principal investor in Project Blue, Albania's first non-EU merchant renewable energy project, winner of the 2024 IJGlobal Market Pioneer Award, and now runs a solar, wind, and storage platform across the region. Besnik is the co-founder of POK.
