💜 What is the workshop about?
While grieving, the word acceptance can feel impossible, offensive, and even physically repulsive. Grieving while pregnant or mothering intensifies everything, often leaving mothers stuck in the swirl of their own grief, their family’s grief, and the tangled emotions and personal dynamics that follow a loss.
This workshop will explore:
The intense paradoxes of grieving while mothering, including holding your own pain while supporting other family members’ or children's grief.
Why the word acceptance can feel threatening or wrong after loss—how that reaction makes sense.
How to compassionately re-work “acceptance”— not as giving up, moving on, or letting go, but as something lived, experienced over time, and personal to you.
Gentle, values-based practices to help move from aversion to acceptance in ways that honor grief, self-compassion, and what matters most to you as a mother.
Exploring the emotional, existential, and spiritual layers of motherhood and matrescence after loss.
