Be Casting's Kryptonite: A Masterclass with Alex Garfin
Step into the virtual rehearsal room with Superman & Lois star Alex Garfin. Whether you’re performing or observing, join us for 90 minutes of practical insight as Alex coaches actors through scenes, audition sides, and monologues before opening the conversation for an audience Q&A.
During the workshop, five actors will each receive a focused 10-minute coaching session with Alex. Participating actors may bring a scene, audition sides, or a monologue they would like to explore.
The event will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A open to everyone. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Alex questions about acting, auditioning, developing their craft, building a professional career, and navigating the entertainment industry.
About Alex Garfin
Alex Garfin is best known for starring as Jordan Kent, the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, throughout all four seasons of the hit series Superman & Lois. His additional credits include The Peanuts Movie, for which he earned an Annie Award nomination, New Amsterdam, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and the Off-Broadway production of Fear.
A graduate of New York City’s prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Alex is currently an undergraduate at Columbia University studying philosophy and economics. He is also a singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and fluent Japanese speaker.
Alongside an acting career spanning nearly two decades, Alex has become an international youth advocate specializing in intergenerational communication and digital technologies. He serves as Board Secretary and Head of Youth at the United Nations NGO World Information Transfer, where he led a team of eight young people at United Nations Headquarters. He also co-founded WeTheFuture, an initiative created with Kenneth Cole to bring leading youth activists together with older generations and foster more constructive dialogue. Through his acting and advocacy, Alex has engaged with young people in 22 countries across five continents.
