About Event

Tokenization is beginning to reshape how assets are structured, owned, and accessed. From real estate to funds and alternative investments, financial assets are increasingly being broken into digital units that can be more easily transferred, traded, and distributed.

This shift is not only technological. It is also changing how ownership is defined, how markets operate, and who can participate in them. As tokenized models develop, they are raising new questions around liquidity, regulation, and the potential to broaden access to investment opportunities.

In this edition of W Parlour, we look at these developments through the lens of someone working at the intersection of finance, fintech, and virtual assets.

Our guest is Musheer Ahmed, Founder and Managing Director of Finstep Asia, a fintech and virtual assets advisory and venture building firm. With close to two decades of experience across capital markets, fintech, and digital assets, he has been actively involved in shaping the ecosystem in Asia.

Musheer co-founded the Fintech Association of Hong Kong and was part of the founding team of Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). He has also advised the BIS Innovation Hub in Hong Kong on green finance and works closely with regulators, financial institutions, and startups across the region.

During the session, Musheer will share insights from his experience working across traditional finance and emerging asset classes, and how tokenization is starting to influence the structure and accessibility of financial markets.
