CCSB's March Climate Cafe
Join us for Climate Cafe South Brooklyn’s March Climate Cafe on Sunday, March 22nd from 12:00-1:30 PM at Marine Park Coffee (3411 Ave S, Brooklyn). This will be our first in-person Climate Cafe of the year, and we’re excited to gather together again locally in Marine Park.
A Climate Cafe is a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where people come together to talk openly about the climate crisis and how it makes them feel. It is not a lecture or debate, but a gently facilitated conversation centered on reflection, deep listening, and connection. You are welcome to share or simply listen. No expertise is required, and there is no pressure to take action.
Each gathering focuses on building community through honest conversation. While individual action alone won’t solve the climate crisis, coming together allows us to find comfort in shared experiences and learn from one another. Our approach is informed by Force of Nature, the Climate Psychology Alliance, and Climate Cafe NYC.
Climate Cafe South Brooklyn (CCSB), launched in June 2025, became an official chapter of Climate Cafe NYC in September 2025. We connect neighbors across southern Brooklyn while gathering locally in Marine Park. CCSB operates as a DBA under the Marine Park Young Adults Association (MPYAA), a New York State–registered not-for-profit organization rooted in civic engagement and environmental stewardship, ensuring strong governance, transparency, and long-term sustainability as we continue expanding responsibly.
Through MPYAA, we also support coat drives, NYC Parks street tree care days, neighborhood litter cleanups, and broader civic engagement efforts that strengthen community connection. Climate Cafe is part of that larger vision of local resilience and impact.
Free and open to all ages. Optional $5 donation supports programming, but no one is ever turned away.
