​Help Shape Environmental Priorities for Boston’s People’s Budget 🌱

​Boston’s People’s Budget is a community-led process in which residents put forward a proposal for the entire city budget that invests in the health, safety, wellness and economic stability of BIPOC, working class communities and divests from harm, policing and extraction.

​In collaboration with the Better Budget Alliance, BCAN is bringing community members together to identify environmental priorities within that broader vision.

​Together, we’ll:

• ​Learn: Get a brief background on the People’s Budget, its values, goals, and progress.

• ​Review: Explore Boston’s current environmental programs.

• ​Build on resident ideas: Review environmental proposals submitted through participatory budgeting in 2025.

• ​Identify priorities: Discuss community needs, surface shared priorities, and begin shaping a vision for environmental investment.
