About Event

Slow Burn Social: A Vinyl Listening Experience is a sacred social practice, a ceremony, an invitation of collective deep listening followed by connection rooted in sounds of the African Diaspora. What started as a thread is growing into a community of artists, activists, dreamers, world-builders, audiophiles, and revolutionaries desiring to imagine a new world.

Here we listen to feel, and share to connect. This experience is unlike any other because we can feel the vibrations of the music in the floor of the space.

For our 5th edition of SBS it's the People's Choice Edition! This month we'll be listening to a record that is nominated and voted on by community members. Submit your nominations here.

Note: Slow Burn Social centers and uplifts music from the African Diaspora (Black music).

The People's Choice Album will be selected on July 1.
