The Founder Nervous System: Stress, Uncertainty, and Regulation
🧠 The Founder Nervous System: Stress, Uncertainty, and Regulation
Building a company can be exciting, meaningful—and incredibly demanding.
There are so many things founders are expected to carry: uncertainty, responsibility, constant decisions, pressure to keep moving, and often the feeling that you need to have it all together.
This gathering is a chance to slow down for an hour.
We’ll begin with a short grounding practice, then have an honest conversation with other founders about what this journey actually feels like—the parts we talk about, and the parts we usually don’t.
No pitching. No need to perform. Just a little space to arrive, connect, and be human together.
✨ Our North Star is simple: healthier founders building a healthier future.

About the Host
Xiuling Liu is a Psychotherapist, a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher, a former tech leader, and a founder.
Very few mental health professionals truly understand the cognitive load of a founder or the tech industry—Xiuling is the rare exception.
To truly comprehend the psychological weight of building a company, a clinician must have lived in the trenches of high-stakes tech, navigated a profound career transition, and built a venture from the ground up.
As a former Senior Manager at Walmart, she led a specialized team, deploying advanced machine learning solutions in an aggressively volatile, high-pressure consumer environment.
Today, as Xiuling navigates the demanding path of a founder herself, it is her own profound mental strength and mindfulness practice that power her forward.
She seamlessly merges her leadership experience with deep clinical expertise to help fellow founders build the resilience, self-awareness, and grounded judgment required to lead under absolute uncertainty.
Xiuling holds Master's degrees in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago and Data Science from DePaul University.
