We're a young nonprofit (15 months in) preventing youth trafficking through an experiential, trauma-informed curriculum, and this is our first time pitching to a room outside the nonprofit and social work space.
I'd like feedback on whether the emotional pacing lands, specifically whether the opening and the personal story later in the presentation belong rather than heavy-handed, and whether our ask (tiered program funding, not a general operating request) is clear and compelling to an audience more used to startup pitches than mission-driven asks.
I'd also welcome any outside perspective on how a general audience receives content around a sensitive topic like trafficking, since most of our feedback so far has come from people already embedded in this field.
