Interested in entrepreneurship and innovation, but not sure where to start?
Want to meet startup founders, entrepreneur minded colleagues, and key venture creation coaches at UMass Chan Medical School?
Join the I-Corps Program at UMass Chan Medical School for Startup Jumpstart: Intro to I-Corps to learn more about our Fall 2026 I-Corps Program. You do not need to be affiliated with UMass to join us!
Based on the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) program (the premiere federally funded innovation and commercialization training in the U.S.), this 5-week free + virtual educational program is designed by entrepreneurs with the biomedical researcher in mind. In this short course, researchers learn how to commercialize an academic idea through the process of identifying your potential customers. I-Corps@UMass Chan program graduates are also eligible for up to $1500 in reimbursement toward customer discovery and market research purposes.
Startup Jumpstart will include a short presentation from the I-Corps Program @UMass Chan followed by a virtual networking session that will feature previous regional I-Corps Program participants: Griffin Kane, PhD (Co-Founder & CEO, NanoVax Therapeutics) and Valerie Obenchain, RRT, BSM (Founder & CEO, AIRS).
