Software Defined Supercomputing & The Cloud

​Need a supercomputer for a short period of time? A few hours, days maybe? Spin one up dynamically in the cloud, run your jobs and let it spin down. No ongoing cost. Need another tomorrow but a bit different? No problem. Want to run on a different cloud this time because it’s cheaper or faster? You got it.

​That’s the dream, right? Though it never seems quite as easy as it’s made out to be.

​Come along and have a chat to Flamur Gogolli who has taken off his day job hat and will be speaking on behalf of the Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS) a part of the Linux Foundation.

​Why FINOS and Flamur? Because they have solved a part of this problem (with input from AWS, Morgan Stanley and HMx Labs) to make doing the above a little bit easier for everyone. And it’s all open source and free to use.
