One Year of Protocolized
Sci-Fi, Protocols, and the Future
Protocolized Magazine launched one year ago. It ran three science fiction contests and published a ton of non-fiction too. This panel discussion and town hall will cover some of our favorite stories and ideas, what we learned about writing in the new internet, and comments from our readers.
This event is part of a two-day workshop from January 30-31:
One Year of Protocolized – Friday morning – Tune into a panel discussion with some of our writers and editors. They'll talk about their favorite pieces, what they're reading, and more. Open to the public.
Writing with AI – Friday afternoon – Join a coworking session with fellow writers to share your process for using AI, whether for brainstorming, drafting, fact-checking, or copyediting. Open to the public.
Session on Protocol Fiction – Saturday morning – Connect with fellow writers and get feedback on drafts. Work with the Protocolized editorial team on creative direction for the magazine's protocol fiction column. Brainstorm a worldbuilding project with your peers. By invitation or application only.
Session on Non-Fiction – Saturday morning – Chat about interesting topics and angles to write about protocolization. Pitch an article to the editorial team and get some early feedback from your peers. By invitation or application only.
Roadmapping for Protocolized – Help chart the next year's themes, series, and publishing projects. By invitation only.
