Community Build Night: Build Something Useful for Your Business
You know your business. Bring something you wish worked better.
Maybe customers struggle to find your services online. Maybe appointment requests get buried in messages. Maybe you’ve been meaning to create a website and haven’t had the time or help to get started.
Community Build Night is an evening for local business owners, entrepreneurs, and builders to work on those problems together using AI.
We’re especially welcoming North Miami’s neighborhood businesses: shops, restaurants, salons, independent professionals, and the people behind them. You don’t need a tech background or a startup idea to belong here.
What could you build?
A simple website that explains your services and helps customers contact you.
A page for bookings, quote requests, or an upcoming promotion.
A basic tool for organizing customer inquiries or everyday tasks.
Choose one manageable project. The goal is to leave with a first version you can test, an understanding of how it works, and a clear next step.
How the evening works
Hosted by an official Devin ambassador, the session includes a short demonstration of Devin, an AI coding tool, followed by guided time to build. You’ll learn how to explain what you need, check what the tool creates, and improve it.
No coding experience required. Builders who want to work on practical projects alongside local business owners are welcome too.
Bring
A laptop and charger.
One business problem or idea.
Your website link, service descriptions, logo, or photos, if you have them.
Not sure what to build? Start with this question: What do customers repeatedly ask for, or what do you keep doing by hand?
The evening
5:00–5:30 PM: Arrive, meet the room, and get set up.
5:30–6:00 PM: Live demonstration and project selection.
6:00–8:15 PM: Guided building.
8:15–9:00 PM: Share your progress, get feedback, and plan your next step.
The beginning of something bigger
This is the first Community Build Night leading into Caribbean AI Week, February 22–27, 2027. We’re starting with the businesses in our community and building toward wider participation across South Florida and the Caribbean diaspora.
Bring your business. Bring a problem worth solving. Let’s get started.
