​An invitation from a masked stranger draws a crowd to the Metropol cinema for a mysterious screening. On screen, a horror story unfolds; in the auditorium, the same nightmare begins to take shape. As spectators turn into ravenous demons, those still human find themselves trapped, struggling to survive among the rows of seats. Directed by Lamberto Bava and produced by Dario Argento, Demons transforms a night at the movies into a furious assault on its audience. Claudio Simonetti’s music, pounding rock and grotesque practical effects drive the chaos, blurring the boundary between watching a horror film and being caught inside one.
