Expat Burnout: When Living Abroad Stops Feeling Expansive

Living abroad can look exciting from the outside — new opportunities, new cultures, new beginnings. But behind the scenes, many expats silently carry exhaustion, identity confusion, and emotional strain.

Expat Burnout happens when the constant adaptation required in a foreign country — navigating systems, building from scratch, cultural differences, loneliness, career pressure, and internal expectations — slowly depletes your nervous system.

In this workshop, we’ll explore:

  • Why expat burnout feels different from regular burnout

  • The hidden emotional load of migration and reinvention

  • Nervous system fatigue from “always adjusting”

  • Identity shifts and loss of belonging

  • Practical ways to regulate, restore, and rebuild resilience

This is a space for honest reflection, grounded tools, and meaningful connection — so you can stop surviving abroad and start feeling stable, rooted, and energized again.
