This is a question many platform teams eventually face.

Your dashboards begin lagging, jobs take longer to complete, and queueing increases, even though no warehouse configuration was changed and no new pipelines were deployed.

The signals explaining these situations already exist in Databricks System Tables, query history, and usage data, but turning those signals into a clear explanation means spending hours digging through multiple tables.

In this webinar, we’ll show you how our dCAT solution connects those signals into a structured investigation workflow that  identifies where performance regressed, which workloads changed, and which queries deserve your attention first.

Why We Built dCAT

The idea for dCAT came from a real Databricks investigation.

A SQL Warehouse had become slow and unreliable, yet the team couldn’t identify any clear trigger that would explain the shift.

Once we compared warehouse activity across time windows, the explanation became clearer: workloads had changed, certain query patterns were running more frequently, and inefficient queries were consuming a larger share of compute.

So we built dCAT to save us hours of manual work.

What We'll Show You

dCAT Investigation Demo: A practical walkthrough showing how dCAT analyzes SQL Warehouse behavior, investigates performance regressions, and surfaces the query patterns and workloads driving warehouse usage.

Open Q&A: An open discussion about Databricks SQL Warehouse investigations, performance issues, and operational challenges teams encounter in practice.

Meet the Speakers

Tijana Kostić
Data Engineer @ SmartCat.io

Tijana is a co-developer behind dCAT and holds the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate credential. She focuses on analyzing SQL Warehouse telemetry and building the models used to investigate performance regressions and cost drivers.

Teodora Nedić
Data Engineer @ SmartCat.io

Teodora co-developed dCAT and is a Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional. She designed the investigation workflows that connect Databricks signals to the queries and workloads responsible for warehouse incidents.

Bonus: Free Databricks SQL Warehouse Cost & Performance Assessment

If you register, you also get a focused assessment on what’s really driving your warehouse performance and spend:

  • Where performance bottlenecks come from

  • How ready your data is to support cost and performance optimization

  • Expert walkthrough of your results

Next step (optional): continue with implementation and turn insights into a working system.
