OFTC 6.0 | Workshops

​As part of One For The City Vol. 6 weekend, we are opening the doors for an evening focused on knowledge, culture, training, and connection.

​This is more than a dance workshop.

​The night is designed for dancers, parents, youth, creatives, battle competitors, and anyone interested in street dance culture to come together in one space before Canada’s major crew battle weekend begins.

​SCHEDULE — JUNE 26

​6PM–8PM
ROCKFORCE CREW WORKSHOP
Breaking foundations, battle tactics, and real crew knowledge — from elements to longevity.

​8PM–10PM
STORM’S KNOWLEDGE WORKSHOP
International criteria, battle evaluation, judging insight, conversations, Q&A, and community exchange.

​Throughout the evening, judges will share insights on:

• ​Battle mentality and strategy

• ​Crew culture and teamwork

• ​Judging systems and evaluation

• ​Music and freestyle understanding

• ​Breaking foundations and longevity

• ​Dance history and cultural knowledge

• ​Open conversations and Q&A

• ​Networking and community connection

​The atmosphere is intentionally community-focused and accessible. We want people to leave with not only inspiration, but practical knowledge and meaningful connections.

​Workshops will take place inside Edmonton’s dedicated breaking facility — New Roots Breaking Studio — in a smaller and more personal environment before the main weekend battles begin. Huge shout out to New Roots for sponsoring their studio space.
