Where Lofi Afrobeats / Private School Amapiano / R&B meets elevated dinning for Music Lovers in the Nations Capital.

The first edition of Subject Yellow : The Dinner Séries — is in partnership with 1942DC Cocktail Lounge & Jerk at Nite

About the 1942DC:
1942DC (or 1942 Lounge) is a Black-owned, luxurious cocktail lounge and "vibe dining" spot in Washington, D.C.'s U Street/Shaw area, known for its moody ambiance, craft cocktails, upscale comfort food with global flair, hookah, bottle service, and curated music for a "grown & sexy" crowd seeking an elevated nightlife experience. Run by BenG and Shavonne, it offers intimate spaces for events, late-night bites, and a focus on Black culture and luxury, blending intentional design with top-tier service. 

About Jerk at Nite:

Jerk at Nite is a popular Jamaican food brand, started by Denville Myrie Jr. at Howard University to offer authentic late-night eats, evolving from dorm room deliveries to food trucks and brick-and-mortar spots in D.C., Maryland (Baltimore), and Detroit, known for its flavorful jerk chicken, oxtail, and modern Caribbean dishes, recently gaining huge fame after a viral review by food critic Keith Lee.

Subject Yellow is a brand new DC Based invite-only social club designed for Tech, Media & Music industries founded by Leslie Tita.

    • 7PM: 1st Seating $50 per person

    • 9PM: 2nd Seating: $75 per person

  1. ​​What is the general age range of your events?

    • ​​We encourage guests from all ages and backgrounds to attend our events. Our programming is tailored to anyone looking to meet others. 

    • ​​Generally, we've seen the age range of our events to be between 25-40 years old. That's not to say anyone outside of that range can't attend!

  2. ​What's the difference between First Seating and Second Seating tickets?

    • ​Any ticket purchase gets the same experience, there is no difference.

    • ​We've created second seating tickets for those who want to stay the entire night till 3am.

  3. ​​Can I come alone?

    • ​​Yes, we encourage it! Our goal at Subject Yellow is to create meaningful connections through cuisine and art. Many of our guests leave with new friends at the end of the event.

  4. ​​What is your refund policy?

    • ​​We understand sometimes things come up, and that's why we offer a full credit to your next event if you cancel seven days before the event

  5. ​​Are you able to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?

    • ​​Yes. Our team ensures the restaurant's menus are flexible to account for a wide array of dietary preferences.
