Beyond Vibe Coding: Let's Build Some (Fun) Agents!
But, what kind of agents?
Kind of like Claude Code/Cowork or Codex, but integrated into your app and running natively on the cloud (no Mac-minis necessary!).
AI agents that do things. Give them a goal and they 'reason' their way through a plan while using tools and going through multiple, unplanned steps.
What are we building them with?
We'll be using Vercel's newish agent framework called Eve (eve.dev). It makes setting up an agent extremely easy and running them much more straightforward than some of the other build-your-own agent frameworks out there.
How will the event go?
First, I'll demo an example of setting up an agent in a fresh, new app. Then I'll give some fun prompts/ideas for what agents you can build. You'll then add in your own creativity to hack and build at least one before the event is over.
We'll demo what we built and then vote on most creative use of an agent. There will be a prize (buuuuut it's a surprise, for now).
Why should you come?
You've been vibe coding, building apps, etc. and you want to add some AI-native features in, but you're not sure where to start.
You love tinkering with new AI and dev tools and want to hang out and build with others.
You are curious what it means to build AI agents and want to see more real-life examples.
You're a friend of Jeff or have been to a Product Builders Club event before and think this would be fun to come to.
Agenda
5:30pm: Doors open
6:00pm: Jeff demos building an AI agent
6:45pm: Everyone builds on their own
8:15pm: Everyone demos what they built (prizes!)
8:30pm: We wrap up and head home
Do you need to be super technical?
Short answer: no. I try to make these as approachable as possible. Even if this will be your first app ever made, as long as you come with a curiosity to learn, you'll come away with something.
For this one, I'll be sharing additional prep resources ahead of the actual event so you can dabble and/or think about what you want to build ahead of time.
Any other details?
This workshop is part of the Product Builders Club. It is hosted by Jeff Buzulencia, founder of Blank Slate Labs, an AI-native product studio.
The spots are limited, so grab a seat while they are available!
