"Flying Cars, They Said" | Harford Monthly AI Collective Meeting
We were promised flying cars. We got AI that writes emails and generates art.
So what happened? And more importantly: what are we actually building, and who is it for?
This month, we're welcoming Nathan Miller, a UConn graduate who designed his own major in human-computer interaction, ethical technology design, and digital well-being. Nathan has worked on social impact campaigns across economic development, healthcare, and political advocacy, and is currently returning to UConn for pre-med coursework ahead of medical school. He's thinking seriously about where AI and healthcare meet, and he's not pulling any punches.
His talk asks a simple but urgent question: how do we build AI that actually serves people?
