🌎 Beyond Commitments: Making NDCs Children and Youth-Sensitive

​As Parties prepare the next cycle of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), this session calls for a critical shift—placing children and young people at the heart of climate policy. Although they face the most severe impacts of climate change, their rights, needs, and leadership remain largely invisible in current NDCs.

​Drawing on new evidence from UNFPA, UNICEF, and civil-society research, the event showcases concrete policy, finance, and participation tools to make NDC 3.0 genuinely child- and youth-sensitive. It will also feature youth voices from Brazil and beyond, highlighting how intergenerational inclusion strengthens ambition, equity, and implementation.
