Candidate Pitch Day: A Recession Indicator Comedy Show
Schedule
6:00 - 6:30 PM: Doors open
6:30 - 8:00 PM: Comedy, pitches, theoretically some laughs
8:00 - 9:00 PM: Hang around for nightcaps & networking
The job market is rough, so we’re calling in professionals.
Comedians will take the stage to pitch real job seekers they’ve never met, armed with nothing but a resume, a dream, and dangerously high confidence. Then ACTUAL hiring managers will grill them about their “candidates.”
Can a comic who met you 20 minutes ago land you an interview? Let’s find out.
Between pitches, each comedian gets a 5 minute set, so you’re getting a full comedy show with a side of career chaos.
Come early and stay late for networking with Toronto’s tech crowd. Bring your coworkers, bring your manager, bring the friend who keeps saying “I’m just exploring my options.” It’s all workplace safe, all in good fun, and maybe someone walks out with a job.
Thursday. Brought to you by TechTank TO.
