Growth and Reform Dialogue: Evaluating Inclusive Growth
As the UK economy continues to offer little headroom for new public spending, both regional and local authorities face the challenge of delivering growth that can be felt across all communities.
In this context, the Growth and Reform Network is working with its members to ask ‘how can places proactively make the case for inclusive growth – influencing policies and investment, and clearly demonstrating impact?’
As Combined and Local Authorities tackle the need for public service reform at the same time as driving growth, we will also examine how indicators of inclusive growth can help to connect decision-making across silos, and unlock complex policy challenges as well as efficiencies.
This 1-hour Growth and Reform Dialogue session is hosted online and will feature:
Insight from Growth and Reform Network research on regional employment and the resilience of industrial sector performance in underpinning inclusive growth
Project examples from places across the UK, highlighting where approaches to inclusive growth evaluation have been most successful, and the challenges that lie ahead.
A peer to peer forum to share with others leading inclusive growth and evaluation in places – which will set the agenda for a series of future events and support from the Growth and Reform Network.
