​会社を解雇されたホソクと妻ミオクのもとに、ある出来事をきっかけにドキュメンタリー映画監督イェジと夫サンウが訪れる。撮影が始まると、まったく異なる生活を送ってきた二組の夫婦の日常が重なり合い、胸の奥に沈めていた感情や欲望が静かに姿を現す。交わされる言葉、埋まらない沈黙、ふと近づく距離。その一つひとつが、互いの関係に小さな亀裂を生んでいく。『バーニング 劇場版』から8年、イ・チャンドンがチョン・ドヨン、ソル・ギョングと再び組み、初参加のチョ・インソン、チョ・ヨジョンを迎えた長編作。オ・ジョンミとの共同脚本で、人間の脆さと再生、そして社会のひずみが個人の暮らしに落とす影を丹念に描く。

​After losing his job, Ho-seok and his wife Mi-ok receive a visit from documentary filmmaker Ye-ji and her husband Sang-woo. As filming begins, the lives of these two very different couples become intertwined, and feelings long kept out of sight begin to surface. Conversations, silences and moments of intimacy expose the fractures within each marriage, drawing all four towards desires they have struggled to acknowledge. Lee Chang-dong returns eight years after Burning, reuniting with Jeon Do-yeon and Sul Kyung-gu alongside Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong. Co-written with Oh Jung-mi, this quietly probing drama explores human vulnerability and renewal, and the ways social pressures enter the most private corners of everyday life.
