Suspiria

On a stormy night, young American dancer Suzy arrives in Germany to join a prestigious ballet academy. Behind its ornate walls, the promise of artistic discipline gives way to unsettling noises, unexplained illness and a succession of violent deaths. As Suzy searches for answers, she begins to suspect that the school conceals something far more sinister. Dario Argento and co-writer Daria Nicolodi turn a newcomer’s isolation into a supernatural nightmare, with Jessica Harper as its increasingly endangered centre. Luciano Tovoli’s saturated colours and the score by Goblin and Argento make the building itself feel threatening: a place where beauty offers no protection, and every corridor leads deeper into fear.
