Off the Record: Getting Into YC

Do you want to build a startup?

This Sunday, Akatos is hosting a special guest: one of the very first-ever scouts for Y Combinator.

Cohosted with Jesse Rodgers of Builders Club, the man who built the Velocity program at the University of Waterloo, we'll go behind the scenes with what YC actually looks for, review your applications, and talk about what it means to actually start a company.

We'll tackle common questions like:

• When should you apply to YC or other accelerators?

• Does building something from YC's Requests for Startups improve your chances?

• What actually matters most in a YC application?

Schedule

3 PM - Doors open
3:30 - YC scout talk
4:00 - Open questions
4:30 - Application reviews
5:00 - Event ends

IMPORTANT: The YC scout wants to remain anonymous. If you attend this event, you are expected to keep their identity in the room. Violating this requirement will bar you from future Akatos events.
