UL Student Entrepreneur of the Year 2026
UL Student Entrepreneur of the Year 2026
Build an idea. Pitch it. Win funding. All in 2 days.
April 10th & 11th | Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick
What is it?
A 2-day startup sprint, you’ll go from nothing, a very rough idea, or something you’ve been working on for awhile to something you can actually pitch, working through real early-stage thinking, problem, idea, direction, all in a short space of time. It is fast, a bit messy, very hands-on and a re taste of what building something actually feels like, with support the whole way through.
You don’t need experience, you don’t need an idea yet, just show up, get involved, and give it a go.
How does it work?
Day 1, Friday (April 10th)
6:00pm, welcome, intro, what the weekend looks like
6:30pm, meet people, form teams, start working
6:30 to 8:00pm, mentor sessions, idea development, figuring things out
Late evening, keep building in your own time
11:59pm, submit a short idea/report
Day 2, Saturday (April 11th)
Morning, short interviews with judges, early feedback
Midday, more mentor support, refining your idea and pitch
Afternoon, final prep, submit your presentation
2:15pm, pitches begin
3:45pm, winners announced
Why do it?
try building something real, not just talking about it
meet people who are actually up for doing things
get proper feedback and support
chance to win part of a 12k prize pool
you will probably surprise yourself
Mentors & Judges?
You’ll be working with an impressive lineup of founders, industry people, and experienced mentors, people who’ve built companies, invested, and supported startups before, not just judging, but actually helping you shape your idea along the way.
Who is it for?
Anyone a bit curious about startups, ideas, or just trying something different, you don’t need to have it figured out, no pressure, no expectations, just show up and give it a go.
