Teaching Refresher: Morphology

​Hello Teachers,

​This free and voluntary refresher highlights the role of morphology in strengthening decoding, spelling, vocabulary, and reading comprehension within the Air Reading curriculum. Participants will learn how explicit instruction in prefixes, suffixes, and base words supports students in understanding how words work and how meaning is constructed.

​Aligned with the Air Reading methodology, the session demonstrates how morphology is taught systematically and cumulatively, using clear routines that make word analysis accessible for all learners. Educators will explore how to introduce, practice, and reinforce morphemes while supporting students in applying this knowledge to reading and writing tasks.
