Solarpunk & DERs: 10/19 Dinner

​This is the first dinner in a three-month experiment bringing together people interested in energy, DERs, solarpunk, and the broader challenges facing our energy system. The goal is to share projects, meet people working on similar questions, and make space for open discussion. You do not have to had attended any previous events to attend, we welcome a mix of energy professionals, people engaged in advocacy, or just interested in the space.

​Topics:

• ​Overview of the goals for the three-month dinner series.

• ​Sam S. will demo BackBone, an interactive game designed to teach how energy planning works.

• ​Time for other people to share projects, ideas, or things they are working on.

• ​Depending on group size, we will likely split into ~2 discussion groups based on interests and familiarity with the topics.

​Schedule:

• ​6:30 Dinner + intros (~30 min)

• ​7:00 Project presentation + discussion

• ​8:00 Open discussion

• ​8:30 Close — feel free to stick around with questions or continue conversations

​Please plan to arrive by 6:30.

​We have a gated backyard and garage space for bike parking. We are a scent-free house, so please avoid strong fragrances. We also have cats and one small chihuahua.
