Intro Session - An Immram into Irish Gender Roles and Inheritance
Introduction Session: An Immram into Irish Gender Roles and Inheritance
This 90-minute session is an open invitation for anyone curious about our upcoming six-session group immram/journey into how Irish history shaped the roles of Irish men and women and how that shaping continues to live in our bodies, relationships, and sense of belonging today.
Whether you live in Ireland or carry its inheritance from the other side of the world, this session will give you a taste of what this work is, how it feels, and whether it is right for you.
We will offer:
A short introduction to the historical and cultural framework
A brief experiential taste of the somatic and relational approach
Space for questions and honest conversation about the work ahead
We will offer a space where Irish cultural history and lived experience can meet in the body, in relationship, and in community.
The six-session group begins on Sunday 19th April, for 3 hours each. Across six consecutive Sundays, we will move together through the inherited shape of Irish gender roles - how they formed, how they were transmitted across generations and oceans, and what becomes possible when we finally examine them with clarity and compassion.
This work can only truly unfold in community, with others who are willing to turn toward what has been carried in silence for too long.
Please bring your curiosity and your presence. We look forward to meeting you there.
