Smocktail Hour at Artspace!
Come join us for Smocktail Hour, a new alcohol-free event featuring seasonal, botanical mocktails, where participants will engage with local artists and artisans for an evening of art-making, connection, and fun! Spearheaded by Katy Rugg of Petal Palate, and Heidi Rugg of Barefoot Puppet Theatre, to build community around creating art while enjoying seasonal botanical drinks in a space that celebrates local art.
Come feast all of your senses!
For our November 4th event at Artspace, we will be gathering in a super chill, creative and meditative atmosphere for moral support on election night. We will explore - in tranquility, away from the spin and the noise - our individual and collective artistic/creative voices, in good company. Through the creative process, we will 'draw' into being a future that contains and supports us all, while enjoying seasonal, supportive botanical-infused libations!
Art-making: Puppeteer and Puppet-builder, Heidi Rugg, will lead us in a collaborative “Zentangles” method of doodling, with maximum creative freedom, and minimal pressure (whew!). We will then combine our works to create a 'hand'-some masterpiece!
Your Ticket includes: All materials/art supplies, your first seasonal mocktail (cash mocktail bar for more), a hearty bowl of lentil soup, and social time!
We offer flexible pricing of $15 to $25. Additional non-alcohol beverages available for purchase. Space is limited, so we encourage signing up soon!
Parking: Enjoy free, lighted parking in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center. With 140 spaces, there will be plenty of room for YOU.
About the space: Artspace is a nonprofit gallery for the visual and performing arts. This volunteer-run organization is led by its artist members and supported by community members and volunteers.
