About Event

In this interactive 2 hour workshop, participants will get hands-on with real life cycle assessments and learn how to interpret the results through a product and business lens!

During the event, you'll work through a guided activity to identify environmental hotspots across a product's life cycle, then translate those findings into actionable opportunities for improvement. You'll leave with a strong understanding of how sustainability data can move from analysis to action.

This workshop is designed for professionals across climate tech, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and product development. It will introduce practical frameworks for using LCA results to inform better design decisions, prioritize sustainability initiatives, and communicate value more clearly.

Schedule:
2-2:30: Welcome & Networking
2:30-3:00: Intro & Practice with LCAs
3:00-3:30: Activity: Find a Hotspot and an Opportunity
3:30-3:45: Activity: Turn the Opportunity into a Pitch
3:45-4PM: Shareout & Reflection

Getting to UW Campus: There are a variety of ways to get to the UW Seattle Campus. Explore the options.

Parking: Parking on campus can be difficult, so we recommend taking public transportation or a rideshare when possible. The “U District” stop is the closest light rail station to the Foster School (5-minute walk). Should you need to park on campus, the directions are below. Please note that the N01 parking lot (in front of the Burke Museum) is frequently full. The N20/21 lots under Padelford Hall are your next best options, so plan extra time for a short walk.

* If you need disability accommodations, the Gatehouse Parking Specialist can direct guest to the nearest ADA stall. ADA guest can use our permits in any open ADA space in any lot as long as they have the correct credentials.
