Event Synopsis:
Recent developments in embodied technologies and multi-modal engagements have widened the range of what may be preserved and experienced.
How might we experience the past in the future? How do we communicate the past to generations whose ways of knowing may differ from our own? What objects and stories should we leave behind for future generations?
Join us for an evening as we explore the multiple futures of heritage.
About the Organisers:
The Futures Collective
We're curious about possible futures and what they mean for us. We believe everyone can think about, reflect on, and respond to the futures ahead — wherever they're starting from. The Collective is a small space for sharing the different ways people are doing exactly that.
Lewis is the Founder and Director of Crowdsense, a consultancy that helps organisations engage stakeholders, identify emerging trends, and develop scenarios of the future. Over the past decade, he has worked across the public (PMO, MCCY), private (Grab), and people sectors (better.sg). He also runs The Club, a ground-up platform for members of the public to discuss current affairs.
Khai Seng is guided by the belief that transdisciplinary practice is a powerful way to respond to the polycrisis and metacrisis of our times. As the founder of Studio Dojo, he continues to be curious about the integration of design thinking, futures thinking, leadership development and organisational development.
Caleb is an aspiring management consultant and futurist at Deloitte Center for the Edge, a futures think tank that helps companies stay ahead of disruption by decoding emerging trends. In this capacity, he has delivered the Singapore Space Lab, an exhibition on the potential of space technologies for terrestrial applications. He will be graduating from NTU with a hybrid double major in Business (Finance) and Art History in 2027.
