About the summit
The California Ocean Summit brings together the scientists, investors, policymakers, philanthropists, and storytellers who are building a different future for it.
Over three days, you'll move from the stage of the historic Granada Theatre to the research programs at UC Santa Barbara, through the innovation spaces of downtown Santa Barbara, and out to the wild lands and waters of the Gaviota Coast - connecting the people, capital, and ideas that turn ambition into action.
This is a working summit for those ready to move the needle on ocean health, coastal resilience, and the blue economy.
Program at a glance:
Dec 9 opens at UCSB's Corwin Pavilion with keynotes, panels, and a working lunch on ocean science and policy, closing with an evening reception at the Granada Theatre. Dec 10 moves downtown for sessions on ocean finance, international policy, and the Blue Innovation Showcase, an exhibit floor with pitches and 1:1 meetings. Dec 11 is a choice of one of three field excursions along the Gaviota Coast and Channel Islands: Santa Cruz Island, Dangermond Preserve, or Arroyo Hondo Preserve. Excursion options vary in physical accessibility, so review details before selecting.
