Dr. Udi Netzer is one of Israel’s most experienced deep-tech and critical-industry executives, with decades of leadership across national security, aerospace, advanced R&D and large-scale technology programs.
He previously served as Director General of the Negev Nuclear Research Center, Head of R&D at the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, Senior Vice President at Rafael, and CEO of Orbit Satellite Systems. He currently serves as Scientific Partner at E44 Ventures.
Dr. Netzer is also the Program Manager of ULTRASAT, Israel’s flagship ultraviolet space telescope mission led by the Weizmann Institute of Science in partnership with the Israel Space Agency, NASA and Germany’s DESY.
In this session, Udi will share the story behind Israel’s approach to space exploration, deep science and mission-driven technology development — and what this reveals about Israel’s ability to build highly complex systems at the frontier of science and engineering.
