

Every City Needs a Seedbank
As part of City Splash 2026, this interactive and creative session invites you to:
Join a tour of culturally significant plants such as sorghum, okra and callaloo
Practically sow seeds whilst listening to soca
Contribute to the co-design of a new community seed bank at the Wolves Lane Centre.
We’ll introduce the core elements of the project - from developing a seed catalogue, to creating the infrastructure needed to preserve seeds, to building partnerships with other seed banks for knowledge exchange.

The setting
Set within the Wolves Lane Centre - a 3.5-acre food growing and social enterprise hub co-stewarded by The Ubele Initiative and Organiclea.
