About Event

Agriculture is highly dependent on weather, climate and water resources, making it increasingly vulnerable to climate variability, water scarcity and extreme events. Rising temperatures, droughts, floods and other climate-related hazards are already affecting agricultural productivity, livelihoods and food security, while pressures from land degradation and changing land use further compound risks.

As climate and water extremes intensify, strengthening access to actionable climate information and connecting it to advisory services, financing, planning and early action systems is becoming essential for building resilient agricultural and food systems.

This event will explore how climate information can be transformed into climate intelligence and scaled to support agricultural adaptation, resilience and food security, particularly for vulnerable smallholder farmers.
