July Action Night: Urban Shade Equity + Pedalpalooza Ride!
Each month, the 350PDX community gathers for Action Night to learn about ways people can take action and to gather with a community of great folks who care about climate and environmental justice. Food and drinks are provided. This is a great way to get connected to the 350PDX community!
July’s Action Night is an exciting one. Join us at Laurelhurst Park at 7:30pm to learn about Urban Shade Equity and how our urban trees protect us from heat! We’ll have food and drinks and a silent auction to benefit 350PDX.
There’s also a Pedalpalooza Bike Ride before the event, beginning at 6:00 pm at Lents Park (SE Steele St & SE 92nd Ave). This is 350PDX’s 4th Annual Pedalpalooza Ride focusing focusing on bringing joy, curiosity, and thoughtful attention to our urban canopy and its inequities which fall along lines of historical racism and income disparities. Our urban Trees keep us well in many ways, and deserve our love and protection. The good news is, the City is listening and making progress! Let’s keep the momentum rolling and have a night of celebration for our Tree neighbors and the gifts they give us. More info about the bike ride here!
Come to both the bike ride and Action Night, or just Action Night. Bike ride starts at 6:00 at Lents Park, Action Night at 7:30 pm at Laurelhurst Park.
