AI Legislation: In-Person Discussion w/ Dylan Irlbeck

​Join us for an in-person conversation with Dylan Irlbeck, a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Lori Trahan (MA-03), on Trahan's recent Great American AI Act discussion draft. Dylan is one of the key architects behind this draft bill, one of the first comprehensive federal frameworks for AI policy. It tackles frontier AI governance, workforce concerns, cybersecurity, R&D, and international cooperation. The draft bill is co-led by Congressman Jay Obernolte (CA-23) and has received widespread coverage in the press. Dylan will discuss the key elements of this legislation and answer your questions!

​About the speaker: Dylan Irlbeck is a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Lori Trahan (MA-03), covering technology and consumer protection. He has worked on Capitol Hill for 3 years, including as a TechCongress Fellow. Previously, he developed and maintained large-scale backend services at Flexport, a freight forwarding startup. He also served as a Civic Digital Fellow, building public interest technology for the federal government. Dylan earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
