About Event

The symposium explores new ways of knowing and creating through the the somatic experience. The body, as the means through which we are in the world, is always under a process of becoming. Beyond it's materiality, it constitutes a site of identity and is in relation to others and to sociopolitical and cultural dynamics. Following embodiment as methodology, the symposium foregrounds lived experience as a way to reconsider dominant narratives, attending to how movement disrupts norms, reorients perception, and reconfigures structures and processes. It aims to provide a space for active participation and exchange, where diverse contributions collectively encourage a rich critical and creative dialogue on artistic research.
