About Event

Children have waited nearly 1700 days since the federal government promised online safety legislation.

That’s a quarter of a childhood.

Every day that Parliament delays leads to preventable harm.

Kids and their parents have paid too steep a price. And we now know that the Tumbler Ridge tragedy may have been preventable had AI been properly regulated.

In a recent national poll, 90% of Canadians said they support holding tech companies accountable.

Canadians want platforms regulated. They want to see children protected. They want enforcement. And they want real consequences when companies fail to protect children.

So we are going to Parliament Hill to say, together:

Time is up.

On Monday April 27th, at 11am, children and youth from across Canada will gather on the steps of Parliament Hill to send a message to the Prime Minister and all Members of Parliament.

Kids have suffered immense harm in the digital world, and they can’t afford to wait one more day.

Survivor parents will stand with them, honouring the children they lost to preventable online harms.

Parents, educators, doctors, and other allies will stand in solidarity with them.

And kids’ voices will lead the way, asking Parliamentarians, face-to-face, to do their job.

WHEN: Monday April 27, 11am EDT

WHERE: Parliament Hill, Ottawa
