A family-friendly day filled displays, hands-on exhibits and interactions with Illawarra Companies, Agencies and Community Groups that are driving innovation and action for Climate Change.
Hosted in partnership with the UOW Science Space, this is a chance to show the Illawarra in action — from research labs to living rooms, from start-ups to community halls.
Why the Illawarra?
The Illawarra has one of the most compelling climate action stories in NSW — where community leadership, research excellence and industrial transition intersect.
• Community-led action translating climate ambition into practical outcomes for households including Hi Neighbour, Rewiring Australia, Renew Illawarra, and Good for the Gong to name but a few.
• Climate impact innovation & industry transition with a growing cluster of local innovators working on clean energy and fuels, electrification, energy storage and grid solutions. Including Hysata, Green Gravity and Sicona Battery Technologies.
• Research, education & STEM leadership with world-class research and public engagement anchored by UOW Energy Futures; Science Space; and STEM education and community learning networks.
