Calling all seniors 65+, community partners, and workforce champions!
Tech Savvy Teens, in partnership with AARP Hawaiʻi and Spectrum, presents its 5th annual Tech Savvy Teen Expo — a free morning where teens ages 13–17 help kūpuna across Oʻahu with their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Apple Watches. No tech jargon, no judgment, just one-on-one personalized IT troubleshooting.
But this isn't just a support event — it's a live look at Hawaiʻi's next generation of tech talent. Our teens don't just staff tables; they lead workshops on stage every half hour and run the entire event start to finish. So if you're an IT or senior-service provider, a workforce or mentorship partner, or simply curious how Tech Savvy Teens trains youth into real tech careers — you're welcome here too.
What to expect:
🖥️ One-to-one tech support — kūpuna bring your own device
📱 Mini-workshops every 15 minutes — smartphone tips, video calling, online safety & scam prevention
🤝 Community resource booths
🎤 Live teen-led tech presentations on stage every 30 minutes
👨👩👧 An intergenerational celebration of learning and connection

See the pipeline in person — teens trained, then placed in paid and volunteer roles supporting kūpuna, building real customer-service and troubleshooting skills they'll carry into high-skill, high-wage tech careers. If you're hiring, sponsoring, or mentoring, come meet them.
This is part of Hawaiʻi Tech Week 2026, following past expos at Windward Mall, Pearlridge Mall, The KEY Project, and Kūhiō Mall in Hilo — each drawing 100–200 kūpuna eager to learn.
