Our Speakers

Emily Kwong is the host of two shows — Short Wave, NPR’s science podcast, and Inheriting, LAist’s show about Asian American and Pacific Islander families. Her reporting style is driven by empathy and context — rooted in a sense of people’s lives continuing on long after the story ends.

N’Jeri Eaton is a film nerd who somehow lucked out into making a career in developing, producing and supporting narrative nonfiction storytelling. She was the Head of Limited Series at Wondery, leading a team of producers on series like Liberty Lost, Flesh and Code, Happily Never After and Empire City. Prior to that, she worked at both Netflix and Apple, creating podcast strategies for key lines of business and rolling out new initiatives. N’Jeri got her start in podcasting at National Public Radio (NPR), where she was the Director of Programming and New Audiences where she developed series such as Throughline, White Lies and Louder than a Riot.

Simon Kent Fung is the creator of the Ambie Award-winning #1 podcast Dear Alana, (Tenderfoot TV/iHeartMedia, 3M+ downloads). A former design leader at Google, Patreon, and TIME Magazine, he brings insider expertise on the conservative religious media ecosystem, and now leads a creator collective using storytelling to counter polarization and shape culture.

Leital Molad is Head of Podcasts for WaitWhat, home of Masters of Scale. Her previous credits at Pushkin Industries and First Look Media include Lost Hills, A Slight Change of Plans, Missing Richard Simmons, and Somebody. Molad began her career in public radio, producing Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen.

Kate Helen Downey is a podcast producer and host based in Los Angeles. She is the host and creator of CRAMPED, a podcast investigation into period pain, and has developed podcasts and live shows for Wondery, Pushkin, and independent creators. She is the co-founder of the science comedy theater Caveat NYC.

Gee Padilla is the Founder and Senior Sales Consultant at Geenius Media, an independent ad rep firm serving independent creators. With over 15 years of sales and business development experience in media and entertainment, he specializes in helping podcasters monetize their shows through organic advertising relationships. Geenius Media currently serves as the ad rep for The MeidasTouch Podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience, The Exorcist Files, and Culture Study podcast.

Stephanie Hind is the Head of Top Creator Partnerships at Patreon, leading marquee partnerships with creators. Formerly at TikTok, she brings 12+ years of experience driving growth for top creators and publishers, with a focus on strategic direction, community, white-glove service, and impactful creator-first campaigns across verticals.
