FastMCP Meetup
Join the FastMCP community at GitHub HQ in San Francisco on Wednesday, December 2 for an evening of talks and conversation. Our speakers build MCP servers and agent tooling every day, and they're bringing what they've learned to share with the room.
Schedule
6PM - 6:30PM: Doors open & mingling
6:30PM - 8:00PM: Talks from our speakers
8:00PM - 9:00PM: Food, drinks & conversation
Speakers include:
Jeremiah Lowin — Prefect & FastMCP
Nate Nowack — Prefect & FastMCP
Sydney Runkle — LangChain
Pamela Fox — GitHub
Talks will cover the FastMCP topics people ask about most: skills over MCP, async and background tasks, auth, Postgres, and MCP apps and images.
After the talks, grab food and drinks and stick around to chat with the speakers and other attendees. Bring the question you've been sitting on. The people who can answer it will be right there with a drink in hand.
We're grateful to the team at GitHub for hosting us at their San Francisco HQ.
About GitHub:
GitHub is where the world builds software, FastMCP included. Developers and teams use GitHub to write, review, and ship code together, with tools like GitHub Copilot, Actions, and Codespaces built in.
About FastMCP:
FastMCP is the fast, Pythonic way to build MCP servers and clients. It's how developers connect AI models to their tools, data, and APIs. FastMCP 1.0 was folded into the official MCP Python SDK, and Prefect maintains the project.
